The passing of Clarence Gilbert Peterson of Taymouth, NB, husband of Edna K. Peterson occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born on January 1, 1941 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Ivan and Zilpha (Stokes) Peterson.
Clarence had a long fulfilling career at Canada Forest Service, retiring after over 30 years of dedicated service.
He was affiliated with the Taymouth United Church. He loved puttering in the yard, gardening, and will be remembered as the community handyman.

In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by his daughter, Nikki Layton (Patrick); his very special grandchildren, Emma and Parker; sister, Shirley Douglass; nieces and nephews, Janice, Melanie (Tony), Amanda (Joel), Chris (Jeannie), Bev (Craig), Harold Jr., Anita, Terri-Lynn and Lisa; many great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Iva McAllister; brother, Harold Peterson and brother in law, John Douglass.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
A Memorial Service will take place at Taymouth United Church on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Yvette Swan officiating.
Interment will take place in Taymouth Community Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Taymouth United Church-Building Fund, Taymouth Community Cemetery Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice.
