Wood, Carl Meredith
February 24, 1949 – October 9, 2019
Carl passed away peacefully at the Hardisty Hospital in Alberta at the age of 70 years. He was born in Perth and raised on the Scotch Line. Carl is survived by his four children, Andy Echlin, Robert Echlin, Patty Bazelinaski and Carl Echlin, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by his brother Lawrence (Miriam) Wood, sister Iona (late Robert) Farrell, sister-in-law Louise Wood and numerous nieces and nephews. Carl was predeceased by his soul mate Sylvia Gail Echlin, parents Robert and Lula Pearl (Blackburn) Wood, his sisters Evelyn Wood and Elaine (late Reg) Fournier and brothers Earl (late Marie), Arden, Lloyd, Eldon, Lemuel and Roy Wood. A private graveside service will be held in the Lougheed Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Carl may be made to the Hardisty Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of choice.
