Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the age of 61. Beloved husband and best friend of Barbara (nee Brownrigg). Bruce is the son of Patricia Campbell (nee Lamb) and the late Howard Campbell. Bruce will be sadly missed by his step-children Allison Wigney (Ben), Emma Wigney (Jason) and Erin Wigney (Ian). He was a proud grandfather of John and Hailey. Bruce will be fondly remembered by his brother Ron Campbell (Jocelyne) and Mark Campbell (Gay), his nieces Jennifer Cameron (Scott), Lauren Harmanmaa (Mark), Christine Thompson (James), and nephews Colin Campbell (Jennifer) and Matthew Campbell (Maggie); and great-nieces and nephew Weston, Adelle and Cadence. Bruce will also be fondly remembered by Barb’s entire family, his extended family and many friends, along with many in the policing community, with his work with the OPP, the OPP Auxiliary and Davtech. Friends are welcome to gather on Friday, October 25, 2019 for a celebration of Bruce’s life at the Smiths Falls Civitan Club, 12468 Highway #15, Smiths Falls from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a sharing of family memories between 5 and 7 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The OPP Youth Foundation or the Ontario Special Olympics Torch Run.
