Obituary of Blake Carrothers
Carrothers, William Blake of London and formerly of Aylmer passed away at McGarrell Place on Saturday, August 17, 2019 in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Edna Carrothers(2011). Dear father of Ron Carrothers and wife Margareth of Fernie, B.C. and Lynda Elley and husband Mark of Texas. Loving grandfather of Deanna (Bratcher) and Jeremy (Sarah) and great-grandfather of Blake and Chloe. Brother-in-law to Gladys Carrothers. Predeceased by his brothers Graydon, Grant and Bob and sister Wilma Gilbert. Born in Belmont, Ontario on January 18, 1921, son of the late Jack and Ruby(Prior) Carrothers. Blake was in the Royal Canadian Air Force 2nd World War. He worked for Canada Post for many years as Assistant Postmaster. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church. A funeral service will be held at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00am. Cremation has taken place.
