Necrologie Canada Death notice

Adrian Thomas Jorgenson Oct 30 1978 Oct 13 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Adrian Thomas Jorgenson on October 13th, 2019 at the age of 40.
Born on October 30th, 1978 in Calgary, Alberta, to Keith and Endevora (Debbie) Jorgenson, Adrian enjoyed an exciting and vibrant childhood, which varied from swimming in the Caribbean Sea to playing ice hockey in Southern Alberta. Adrian, along with his seven siblings, spent their childhoods split between Calgary and Corozal, Belize (their mother’s place of birth). As the eldest child, Adrian introduced his siblings to many inventive (and sometimes dubious) new games which would keep them occupied during the summer months. Adrian received his elementary schooling in both Calgary and Corozal and commenced high school at Corozal Community College. Adrian completed his secondary education graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Calgary in 1996, prior to receiving a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Molecular and Microbial Biology at the University of Calgary in 2000. It was during this period that Adrian developed his passion for middle distance running. In addition to local and national competition, in 1997 Adrian had the opportunity to compete internationally for Belize at the Central American Games in Honduras and the Junior Pan Am Games in Cuba; he continues to hold the Belizean record in the 1500 meter. Adrian went on to earn a Juris Doctor at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law in Vancouver in 2004. Upon graduation, Adrian joined Norman M. Cameron Law Corp. Ltd. in Vancouver where he developed close personal and professional relationships with many of his colleagues, including a particularly warm and lasting friendship with his mentor Norm. Even while establishing his career, Adrian always found the time to look after and challenge his siblings, consistently offering advice and support. During one of his many trips to visit extended family, Adrian met his beautiful wife Cintia. Following eight years of dating the two were married in Vancouver on February 17th, 2018 and continued to make Vancouver their home.
Left to mourn are his loving wife Cintia, his parents Keith and Endevora Jorgenson, his siblings Luana (Collin), Maria, Deborah (Chad), Kristen (Markus), Britta, Dylan and Danica, his siblings through marriage, Susana, Arturo and Cristina, a combined six nephews and two nieces, his grandmother Cecilia, grandfather Alfonso, a large extended family (including that of his mother-in-law Irma), and many lifelong friends. He is predeceased by his grandparents Margaret and Fred.
Adrian will be remembered for his irreverent sense of humour, magnetic charisma, playful love of celebration, and selfless generosity.
A Celebration of Adrian’s life was held in Vancouver at the Sutton Place Hotel on October 19th, 2019 and will also be held in Calgary at 29 Tuscany Reserve Point on October 26th, 2019 at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Narrow Road Home, which operates in both High River, Alberta, and Belize. Their work had special significance to Adrian and touched the lives of those he loved. www.narrowroadhome.com/donate
