Darrell Bruce Gray August 28 1967 October 14 2019 (age 52)

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Darrell Bruce Gray on October 14th, 2019. Darrell is survived by his spouse of 15 years, Samantha Terry; son, Jeremy Gray of Coombs; sister, Lori Gray (Steve Scott) of Nanoose Bay; father, Melvyn Gray of Parksville; uncle and aunt, Rob and Shari Daniels; aunt, Lois Gray; and niece, Jayden Henderson. Predeceased by his mother, Carol Gray on February 16th, 2018.
While Darrell came to the mid-island area at a young age, he always knew this was where he would call home. Darrell was an avid outdoors-man and was happiest when he was with his son Jeremy and close friends exploring every corner of the Island. Whether it was on a quad, a motorbike or a kayak, Darrell was at home in nature. He loved to spend his time hiking, fishing and camping. While Darrell was a man of few words, he was never at a loss for an amusing story around a campfire with friends.
He took great pride and satisfaction creating a beautiful home for himself and his family. Spending weekends on projects like a new Gazebo where everyone could gather to share a fire, music and some food. He meant so much to so many and will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 at Yates Memorial Services, 1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville, BC. In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Darrell’s memory with a donation to the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre.
