It is with great sadness that we share the passing of mother, grandmother, and wife. Geesien (Jean) Tschoumy, on Oct 3, 2019. Jean was surrounded by her family during her last hours. Many in Iroquois and Morrisburg will remember Geesien for here vivacious personality and her seemingly perpetual smile. She loved life as she loved her family, fully and without reservation or complaint. And that twinkle in her eye will remain in our hearts forever. Geesien is survived by her husband Andre (Andy), her sons Jeff and Andre and her three daughters: Linda, Wendy, and Nancy. She was pre-deceased by her eldest son Jimmy. Geesien was a loving grandmother and great grandmother to 11 grand kids, including 5 great grandchildren. Geesien was born in Hoogebulten Drenthe, Netherlands. Her father’s name was Geert Grootjans and her mother’s name Annechien Harms. Geesien had eight brothers and three sisters, including Albert, Jan, Gezinus (Harry), Tinus, Klass, Geert, Appie, and Johnny, and sisters Geertje, Zwaantje (Elsie), and Anne.
Funeral Arrangements
A private family graveside service will be held at Iroquois Point.
