William Sucholotosky
William Sucholotosky, 80, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Saturday, September 28th, 2019, at the Drayton Valley Hospital. Born in Smoky Lake, Alberta to Nick and Mary Sucholotosky, Bill lived most of his life in Lac La Nonne, and later on in Drayton Valley Alberta.
Bill was an Automotive and Heavy-Duty Mechanic; and later a Marine Engineer who proudly served in the Canadian Coast Guard and with private enterprise. In his spare time Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and collecting antique rifles.
Bill was extremely loving and proud of his grandchildren; Lesley-Anne, James, and Gordon as well as children Shelly (Terry) and Karl (Gisele). Bill is survived by Irene Russell; nephews Kenny, Shane and Jaron; nieces Lori-Lynn and Rochelle; and his many friends. Bill was predeceased by his brother Boris, sister and brother-in-law Emily and Steve Jacobs, parents Nick and Mary, grandson Abraham, and loving pets Harry and Teeko.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gigg, Dr. Peyton, and all the hospital and homecare staff for your kindness to Bill throughout the years. Bill will be cremated and his ashes interred at a later date. The family requests donations be made in Bill’s name to the Drayton Valley Health Foundation in lieu of a formal gathering
