It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wendall Irwin Tufts announces his peaceful passing that occurred on Monday September 16, 2019 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born 1949 in Fairfield, NB he was the son of the late Lyle and Helen (McCumber) Tufts.
Wendall was employed as a truck driver with Irving Oil for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and working with wood. He enjoyed travelling and trips to his cottage on PEI.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Kathy (Hughes) Tufts; daughters Amy (Corey), Heather and Meghan (Vicky); grandchildren Lexi, Aidan, Brooklynn, Mason and Jessie; brothers Lawson (Donna) and Vincent (Alfreda); sisters Vivian Margeson and Marlene (Kevin) Forest; his best friend Gerald Brown as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Wendall’s Life will be held at Fairfield Baptist Church on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the SJ Extra Mural Program or Rocmaura Foundation.
