Boutilier, Wayne Hubert – 75, Lanesville/Stewiacke. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wayne Hubert Boutilier on September 16, 2019 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. He was born in Halifax, NS to the late Hubert John and Jennie Agnes (Slaunwhite) Boutilier on June 29, 1944. Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gail (Rose); daughter, Shelley Boutilier, East River; grandson, Alex Mitchell, East River, as well as brothers, Kenneth (Judy), Dartmouth and Arnold, Halifax. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Kenneth, and daughter, Wanita, both in infancy; brothers, Vernon and Donald and sisters, Elizabeth, Joan Little and Mary. Wayne was a retired DND civilian employee and a former member of the Freemasons Lodge #98 in Stewiacke. The most enjoyable times of Wayne’s life were spent hunting and fishing with his brothers and nephews at the old camp in Upper Stewiacke. He was a caring and loving husband, father and especially grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered, dearly missed and never forgotten. Cremation has taken place. No service by request. Burial will be held at a later date. Donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
