Wayne C. O’Connor,
65, of Moncton, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully at
The Moncton Hospital on Friday, September 13,
2019.
Born in Moncton, he was the
son of Josephine “Joey” (Tracy) O’Connor and the
late Curtis O’Connor.
Wayne was a former industrial
mechanic. He enjoyed music, being outdoors and repairing anything he
could put his hands on. A social butterfly, he enjoyed parties and
getting together with his family and
friends.
In addition to his mother,
Wayne will be sadly missed by his daughters, Christy Cheung (Lenard)
of Ottawa, ON and Jacqueline O’Connor of Moncton; sons,
Derek O’Connor of Edmonton, AB and Nicholas
O’Connor; stepson, Rodney Smith (Laura Tingley);
grandchildren, Aliya, Chloe, Ian, Taylor, Devon, Dana, Blaine, Hailey
and Hannah; sister, Tracy Page (Tim); brothers, Kevin
O’Connor (Lisa), Vaughn O’Connor (Gail) and Carl
O’Connor (Vicky); several nieces, nephews and extended
family members.
In addition to his father, he
was predeceased by his daughter, Samantha.
In keeping with
Wayne’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. A
Celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at a later
date.
Arrangements entrusted to
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995).
In memory of Wayne, donations
to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital (Oncology) would be appreciated
