VIOLA CARLINE JANE STROUD
1960 – 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Viola Carline Jane Stroud announce her passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, NL on September 17, 2019 at the age of 58. Viola was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Stroud, parents, Lewis and Margaret Rose, brother, Reginald Rose, and brothers-in-law, Levi Keats and Aubrey Mitchell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her partner, Wylie Keefe, sons, Jamie Folkes (Natasha) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and Ronnie Folkes (April) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, daughter, Shelley Bennett (Lou) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and their father, Gary Folkes, and stepsons, Bruce Stroud of Alberta, and Chris Stroud of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren, Colby Bennett, Sara Folkes, Morgan Folkes, and Ava Folkes, step-grandchildren Candice Bartlett and Jessica Sommerton, sisters, Reta (Terry) Laite, Gladys Keats, and Isabella Mitchell, brothers, Jim (Maxine) Rose, Ron (Joyce) Rose, Harold (Bev) Rose, and David (Millie) Rose, and special friends, Myrtle Hobbs and Flora Ryan. Rev. Jeff Blackwood will conduct the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes Chapel in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Urn bearers are her children, Shelley, Jamie, and Ronnie. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in her memory to the Lionel Kelland Hospice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
