It is with the saddest of hearts to announce the sudden and
peaceful passing of Veronica Mary Paul at the Hospice House on Monday,
September 16, 2019 surrounded by her family.
The youngest daughter of the late Johnny Mike Paul her mother
Mary “Minnie” (Sabattis) Paul.
Mary had spent part of her life in Kingsclear with
her sisters. She later moved back to Oromocto to be closer to her
sons. Enjoyed and loved her country music, spending time with family
and friends. She had a great sense of humor. Loved her
language and very supportive to those who spoke with
her.
Mary is survived by her son; Edward and wife
Sandra; Grandchildren Nathaniel and Christopher, and youngest son
Chad, who devoted his life caring for his mother. Her sister, last
remaining member of her immediate family Patricia Paul of St.
Mary’s First Nation, various nieces and nephews and their
families from several First Nations (Kingsclear, Oromocto, St.
Mary’s, parts of Maine, USA), and her beloved dog
“Hollywood”.
She was predeceased by both her parents, her infant son
Joseph. Her sisters; Melvina, Muriel, Geraldine (Gina) Doreen. Her
brothers; Douglas, Bill (Brodder) David (Hopsing), also several nieces
and nephews and various other family members.
Very special Woliwon / thank you to Dr. Kennedy and Staff the
Dr’s and nurses at the Hospice House who went above and
beyond for the devotion and care shown, given while she was in their
care. You will always be in our prayers. A very special Woliwon to
Chief Shelly Sabattis and her family for being big part of Nanny
Mar’s Life.
The family will fulfill her wishes of “going home”.
Mary will be resting at 605 B Apartment Avenue, Kingsclear First
Nations from Wednesday, September 18, until Saturday. A mass of
Christian Burial will take place on Sat, September 21, 2019 at 11
AM.
“And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that Trespass
against us.”
