UDELL, William “Bill” Albert
November 27, 1934 — September 15, 2019
Bill passed away peacefully at Cottonwoods Extended Care Facility on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the age of 84. He will forever be remembered by his four children, Laurie (Glenn), Shayne (Leslie), Brad and Clay; as well as his two grandchildren Krista and Thomas. Bill is also survived by his sister Val and brothers Wes (Marg) and Bud (Lorraine). He was predeceased by his parents William and Florence Udell, his wife Elaine, and brother Barry.
Born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Bill then moved with his family to Brandon, Manitoba, where he later met and married Elaine Pogue in 1956 and raised their four children. Bill’s career as the Regional Sales Manager for Black & Decker spanned over 25 years, and during this time his family relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba and then to North Vancouver, British Columbia in 1976. After Elaine’s passing in 1998, Bill moved back to Brandon and then came to Kelowna, British Columbia in 2008.
In his earlier years Bill loved car racing and became a professional stock car racer in Brandon where he proudly received many trophies. He held a special place in his heart for animals and always shared his home with fur babies. Bill was an avid fisherman and loved travelling, music, sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
