Born January 22, 1938 in Oldham England
Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, Thomas Colin Goodhew aged 81 of Long Sault after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents G. William Goodhew and Norah (O’Hara) and great niece Andrea Christine. Mourning his loss, Colin leaves behind his loving wife May (Pilling) of 62 beautiful years, his only daughter Catherine (Mike), cherished grandchildren Vanessa (Brock), Alex, Ryan (Marisa), and Michelle (Sebastien), GG to Miller, Maisyn, Myla, Harper ;His only sister Christine (Keith) and their Children Anthony (Linda), Elizabeth (Bill) and fur grandpa to his little Rosie muffin. Employed as an electrician, he worked at 2 local factories, Sylvania and Courtaulds. After the closure of Courtalds, Tom enjoyed 16 years as a Commissioner working at CCH where he was known for his colourful stories and knowledge of the world delighting All who came across his path. Colin was one of the most kind, gentle, loving human beings who put his family before anything else. He was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #297.The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the following: Dr’s Bergeron, Reddoch and the staff at CCH, Dr Paul Wheatley-Price and the staff at TOH Cancer Clinic and the amazing staff at the Carefor Hospice Centre Cornwall. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Liturgy of the word will be held in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Monday September 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Followed by cremation.
