Sylvia Elizabeth Beaudreau

Beaudreau, Sylvia
Sylvia Elizabeth Beaudreau, age 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2019 following a brave battle with cancer. She was born December 21, 1945 to Charlie and Eleanor Riddell. She married her friend and love, Robert (Bob), in January of 1967 once he had her convinced.
Sylvia loved to read. There weren’t many books that hadn’t passed through her hands and romances were among her favourite. She was an accomplished crocheter and needle pointer having won awards for her crafts at the Calgary Stampede and taught herself macramé before anyone knew it was cool. She spent countless hours making blankets and pictures for her, Bob and the kids.
She was a fantastic cook and took a lot of pride in her stews, soups, and creative crepes. She sometimes used too much salt.
Sylvia is lovingly remembered by her adoring husband, Bob; her daughter, Bobbi (Chad); her loving son, Rob (Micheleen), her sister Chris Simonin (Sonny – predeceased), their children Brad and Heather, her sister Laurie (Alec) with their children Randi and Jay, grandsons, Alex and Erik, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles all of whom she loved very much.
Many thanks to all the care workers at the Drumheller Regional Hospital including her nurses,
Dr. Chetty, the Home Care staff and the staff of the Hillview Lodge in Drumheller.
Please join us to Celebrate her Life at the Ouletteville Cemetery on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 1:30 pm followed by sandwiches, coffee and treats at the Country Farmhouse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her the Canadian Cancer Society, 200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 2P5.
