Obituary of Suzanne Anahid Dekermenjian (Zoviguian)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne at Hill House Hospice on Saturday August 31, 2019, after an eight month long battle with congenial heart failure. She was predeceased by her husband Sarkis and she will be greatly missed by her children, Sylvia (Martin) and Steve. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Sarah and Gregory, her brothers Setrag and Ara (Naty) and their children, Edward and William.
Loving mother and grandmother, Suzanne also was an entrepreneur and gave countless hours volunteering with the community church. She enjoyed reading, political science and in her later years enjoyed countless hours digesting and discussing CNN politics.
Special thanks to the palliative care team; Christine Bell (R.N., B.Sc.N., CHPCN(C)), Linda Kaplan (R.N.), Dr. Berger and Dr. Leventis who were instrumental in helping Suzanne with her battle, comforting her children, and ensuring Suzanne received the best possible care. The family would also like to thank Hill House Hospice for their compassionate care provided in her last days.
Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home on Friday September 6th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel, Saturday September 7th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hill House Hospice or St. Gregory the Illuminator Armeniian Catholic Church.
