Scott Allen Spooner

Scott Allen Spooner was born January 17, 1983 at the Wrinch Memorial Hospital in Hazelton, BC. He was such a loving, caring and beloved son, brother, daddy, and friend. When everyone thinks of Scott, they will always remember his big infectious smile, and his honks and waves as he drove by. He loved being with his family most of all, whether it be cooking a big meal for everyone at home, or having a picnic on the river. Scott was happiest outside, taking photos of wildlife, family, or scenery, whether it be with his family or friends. If he wanted to, he probably would have quit his day job to become a professional photographer. Those eyes weren’t just gorgeous, they were sharp, he had 20/20 vision. He would spot goats on the mountain from the bay window of the living room while the rest of us were squinting at the tv trying to make out the score of the hockey game. We all know he had many talents beyond chef, photographer, and woodsman. To name a few, he could figure out anything, like mechanics, carpentry, and cooking. All he need was some time or just a simple YouTube video. Some of his other talents, among many others, were drilling, guiding/hunting, fishing, logging, mushroom harvesting, and playing hockey with the guys. Everything seemed to come so naturally to Scott, but the easiest and most natural thing that came to him was being a dad. The love he had for Denali was indescribable. He was not only a loving father but also a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, step-dad, cousin and friend who would do anything for you at the drop of a hat. When Scott dreamed big and put his mind to something there was no limit to the possibilities of what he could do. Let the memories flow of the special moments we had with Scott, and let them never end.
“Love is like a river, never ending as it flows, but gets greater with time.” – UNKNOWN
A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Hazelton Community Centre. Everyone is invited to fireworks in Allen Park at 8:30 pm on Saturday evening.
