Obituary for Ruth Betty Jones (Lindquist)
Ruth Betty Jones (Lindquist)
March 15, 1933 ~ September 13, 2019
It is with deep sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of “Mom”, Ruth Betty Jones.
Ruth was born in Kimberley, B.C. Where she lived, met and married the love of her life George.
Ruth and George made their home in Cranbrook after a brief stay in Victoria, B.C. Together they raised their family, and remained in Cranbrook to live and to play.
Mom loved to camp, bake, garden, do crossword and picture puzzles, quilt, knit, crochet and to spend the day shopping and “doing lunch” with best friends Caroline and Bertha.
In Ruth’s younger years she was an LPN and later helped in the family business doing “the books”.
Ruth is survived by her son Michael, daughter Terri (Darrell) and youngest son Douglas (Connie) and their family, Travis (Kim), Amanda (Austin) and Carley (Arthur) and all their wonderful children, along with many nieces and nephews and cousin Jack Lindquist (Mary).
Ruth was predeceased by her soulmate George just a few short months ago, her brothers and sisters, Herb (Rhonda), Stanley, Mildred (Bob), Florence (George) and her parents Olaf and Martha Lindquist.
Honoring Ruth’s requests there will be no service.
Ruth and George will be laid to rest together in the Kimberley Cemetery at a later date.
