Obituary of Russell Llyod Howick
HOWICK- Russell Lloyd of Port Colborne passed away at the Welland County General Hospital on Saturday September 28, 2019 at age of 92. Loving husband of almost 70 years to the late Elizabeth (Betty) Howick, dear father of Sherry Howick, Wendy Howick and Betsy (Greg) Howick, dear grandfather of Brian (Maryssa), David (Kate) and Taylor (Emma), great grandfather of Ben and Amy. Predeceased by his sisters Vera and Evelyn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at Portal Village for all of their loving care as well as to the staff of the 6th floor at the Welland Hospital where Betty and Russell received phenomenal care during their stay. Russell was an avid sportsman with a passion for hockey, football, golfing, curling and fishing. The Howick family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Saturday October 5, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the Davidson Chapel. Private family interment will take place at Fonthill Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the St. James and St. Brendan Anglican Church Bless the City Greenspace Project or a charity of one’s choice.
