Obituary of Rose Lorentz
1926 – 2019
Rose passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the age of 93.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years, Oscar John Lorentz, on December 18, 2017. Rose is survived by her sister Mary Wilson of London and was predeceased by sisters Nikki Climie (husband Dick) and Anne Nicoloff, and brother Bert Nicoloff (wife Peg). Rose will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
For many years, Rose worked at B.F. Goodrich and Orr Automobiles in Kitchener. Eventually, she operated her own dress boutique in Kitchener called Carousel. Rose received recognition for her 25 years of volunteer service at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Special thanks to the Emergency Department and 7th floor staff of St. Mary’s Hospital for their exceptional care.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Rose during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 2:00 -4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tim Uniac, CR, as Celebrant. Reception to follow in the parish hall. Interment will take place at Saint Clement RC Cemetery, St. Clements following the reception.
