Ronald Ron Perry

Nécrologie
Ron passed away peacefully while in ICU at the Queensway Carleton Hospital (QCH) with his family by his side ; survived by his wife Joan (nee Griffith) , twin daughters Patricia and Ann and sons David (Michelle) and Bruce (Monique) of PEI and granddaughters Chelsea and Ashley ; many nieces and nephews ; predeceased by his parents John and Della Perry , brothers Frank and Ken and sisters Amelia , Ruth and Peggy ; born and raised in Saint John N.B. ; moved his family to Ottawa in 1971 to work for the Treasury Board Secretariat until he retired in 1994 ; reached the rank of Captain at the time he resigned from the reserves ; was an active member of St John the Apostle parish, the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed a game of euchre and crib ; a salt-of-the-earth kind of guy who took great care of his family ; always made sure the food bank shelves were full and the backyard birds were happy too ; loved to sing and tell stories, especially of his beloved Maritimes.
Special thanks to the nursing and surgical staff at QCH. Respecting Dad’s wishes, cremation and a private interment, lead by Father Lindsay Harrison, has already taken place. Donations to St John the Apostle building fund or the QCH foundation would be appreciated.
