Rod Taylor

Rod Taylor, beloved husband of Yoda Taylor; father of Kajsa (Patrick) Taylor-Reeves and Kalah (Sean) Ginn; Papa to Addilynn Reeves and Solomon and Genevieve Ginn; brother-in-law to Jacklyn (Del) Deleon. He was predeceased by his son Connor, parents John and Esther Taylor; and Uncle Robin Taylor.
Rod loved his Hillspring farm and considered it his home until his death. He loved the animals on the farm and often brought baby animals to tell children’s stories at church. He had a passion for baseball and played ball in Lethbridge, at Whitworth College and on the Canadian National Baseball Team. Rod taught at Canyon School in Pincher Creek, Spring Point Colony and Pincher Creek Colony. Loved by his colleagues and students alike; they all remember his practical jokes. He was an avid hunter in Canada, New Zealand and Africa.
Rod became a Christian after his son Connor’s death and joined First Baptist Church. His love of God and his care for his church family were an inspiration to all who knew him.
A Celebration of Rod’s Life will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 637 Charlotte Street, Pincher Creek, Alberta.
