Robert Bob Lodder

Promoted to glory to be at home with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ
on September 18, 2019. Bastiaan Lodder was born on October 2, 1930 in
Barendrecht, the Netherlands to Leendert and Josina Lodder. After World
War II, he immigrated with his family to Canada, where he fell in love with
Trudie Walinga and married her on November 2, 1956. God blessed Bob
and Trudie with nine children, Shirley (John Swaving), Bob (Debby), Cor
(Janine), Gerry (Melissa), Charlie (Janette), Joanne (John Hutten),
Darlene (Klaas Nijenhuis), Theo (Marina), Christine (Dirk Vellema), and
many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by one
grandson. After farming for a short time, Bob joined his father-in-law and
brother-in-law in establishing and building Walinga Body & Coach. Bob
was known for his gentleness and compassion, his steadfast faith in the
triune God, and his desire to serve his Lord and King, leaving a wonderful
example for his family and those around him of walking with God. He
would want all praise to be directed to his covenant LORD alone for His
faithfulness, love and grace to him and his family. We will miss him dearly
and look forward to meeting him again at the resurrection, in the new
creation. “Jesus said, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who
believes in me will live, even though he die; and whoever lives by believing
in me will never die.”—John 11:25-26
