Obituary of Raymond Clarke
CLARKE, Raymond – Ray passed away peacefully, in his dream log home, with his family by his side, on Saturday, August 31, 2019. Ray of Campbellford, formerly of Moorends, Yorkshire, England, and Scarborough, Ontario, left us just shy of his 85th birthday.
Beloved husband of Mollie Clarke (nee Dennison) for 64 years. Loving father of Stephen (Linda) and Cheryl (Russ). Proud granddad of Meaghan (Ben), Erin, Kristin, Jason, Alysha, Galen and Marissa. Dear brother of Joan Farrell. Ray will be fondly remembered by many other family and friends.
The love of his life was working with wood, which led to the building of his wonderful log home. Former owner/operator of Trent House Motel in Campbellford for ten years. Ray volunteered with the Warkworth Service Club and the Campbellford Hospital Auxiliary. Ray was an avid golfer and he and Mollie travelled extensively, enjoying life to the fullest.
A celebration of life will be held at his home in the near future. Drop in to share a story about Ray, and have a drink and a laugh. A very special thank you to the St. Elizabeth Health Care Nurses and Personal Service Workers for their great kindness, compassion and care.
If desired, condolences to the family or donations to the SE Foundation, Campbellford Memorial Hospital or Warkworth Hospice may be made at communityalternative.ca.
