It is in great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Cimetta on Monday, August 26th, 2019 at the age of 80. Preceded in death by his wife Sharon (nee Newman), his father Virgillio Cimetta, his mother Nunziatta Cimetta (nee Palmerio), his brother Angelo, brother Antonio, brother Ernesto, and sister Elizabeth. He is survived by his daughter Diane (Dickson), sister Maria (Bob), brother John (Nina) and he leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Peter was a motivated and driven person. He proudly talked about his work as a roofer which he did for 32 years until he decided to retire at the age of 69. Strong willed, determined, with a good sense of humor, Peter enjoyed spending time with his family, family pets, tending to his vegetable garden, and feeding the birds. He is dearly missed.
To honor Peter, a celebration of life will take place on Sunday, September 8th, 2019 at Legion in Cobourg from 10:30 to 1:30pm.
