Erman, Pavel “Paul” – 84. The passing of Paul Erman of Valley occurred on September 17 at his home. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, brother, Ivan, sisters Marinka and Ivanka. He is survived by his brother, Joe (Kathy), sisters, Mihela and Helena; his son, Greg (Maria); grandsons, Evan and Tristan and many nieces and nephews. Born on a farm in Slovenia, Paul learned the trade of tailoring. He came over to Canada in the 1950’s and opened his own business (Paul’s Tailor Shop) in Truro. Paul enjoyed going to card games, playing crib and being outdoors. Paul and Evelyn enjoyed many years at their cottage in Wentworth Valley. Paul was an avid traveler, throughout all of Europe, Canada, United States, and New Zealand – the Country he always wanted to go to. Paul will be remembered for his sense of humor, for being a social person and for the love of his family. Paul was a member of the county council and the North Shore Bavarian Society. A private family service will take place with interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
