1947-2019
Pamela Jean “Pam”
Mellroy – 71, Debert,
passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, September 24, 2019, at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a
daughter of the William and Alma (McClymont) Lloyd.
In earlier years, Pam worked at Fletcher’s, The
Chow Family, as a Personal Care Worker with Victorian Order of Nurses
and as a school yard lunch-time supervisor at Debert Elementary
School. She enjoyed making crafts, baking and gardening. Above all,
family was of the utmost importance to her and she loved spending time
with her grandchildren.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Basil
Allen Mellroy; sons, Jeff Mellroy, Debert; Trevor (Sabrina) Mellroy,
Onslow; Troy (Kim) Mellroy, Innisfail, Alberta; Trent Mellroy (Carolyn
Langille), Debert; Brian Lloyd, Toronto; grandchildren, Taylor Fraser,
Brennan Fraser, Summer-Marie Mellroy, Chyann Mellroy, Rylee
Crang-Mellroy, Spencer Crang-Mellroy, Skyler Mellroy, Keegan Mellroy,
Madison Mellroy, Tyler Lattie, Toronto; sister, Sandra (Ken) Faulkner,
Truro; brothers, Les (Wanda) Lloyd, Stewiacke; Jimmy (Kathy) Robinson,
Toronto; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was
predeceased by her son, Michael in infancy; sisters, Carol Savoie,
Sylvia Robinson, Audrey (Bill) Lyon; brother, Ken Lloyd. Special
thanks to Faye Rhyno who was always there, if needed, to do anything
for Pam and Basil.
Pam’s family welcome you to join with them from 2-4
p.m., Friday, September 27, 2019, at Truro Horsemen’s Club,
288 Main Street, Bible Hill. Private interment in Main Road Cemetery,
Debert. If so desired, donations in Pam’s memory to Diabetes
Canada, Kidney Foundation or IWK Health Centre Foundation are
welcomed.
