DUNHAM, Noreen Barbara ~ Age 83 of Harbourville, Kings Co., passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on April 23, 1936, in Berwick, Kings Co., she was the daughter of the late Everett B. and Margaret W. (Howell) Saunders. Noreen was a teacher and taught school in Kings County for 35 years, mostly at Somerset School, from where she retired in 1991. She was a lifetime member of the Women’s Institute of Nova Scotia and a member of Berwick United Church Women (U.C.W.) for many years. Noreen will be sadly missed by her daughter, Karen L. Dunham, Vancouver, B.C.; son, L. Bruce Dunham, Somerset; brother, Leslie (the late Myrna) Saunders, Burlington; grandchildren, Thomas (Emilie) Dunham, Toronto, Ont.; Marita (Matt) Joseph and Sonya Dunham, both of Halifax; great grandchildren, Brittany, Charlotte and Owen as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Noreen was predeceased by her husband, Laurie Owen Dunham; brother, Richie Noel Saunders. All are welcome to a celebration of Noreen`s life that will take place 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, October 8th., in the Burlington Community Hall, 2122 Long Point Rd., Burlington. A private interment will have previously taken place in Berwick Cemetery, with Rev. Tom Woods officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice. By request, family flowers only please.
