Passed away suddenly at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday, September 1, 2019. He was born 69 years ago in Simcoe, Ontario, a son of the late Owen Thibideau and former Elizabeth Maloney.
Beloved husband of Susan Thibideau (nee Diegel) of Mitchell. Loving father of Heath Thibideau (Nancy Wick) of Mitchell, Alana Artuso (Frank) of New Lowell. Dear grandpa of Sabrina & Michael Artuso. Sadly missed by his sisters Mary Lou Kempton of Orillia, Michelle Lemon (John/Jack) of London, and brothers-in-law Doug Richardson of Port Dover, Dennis Diegel (Linda) of Monkton, sisters-in-law Linda Nieuwkuyk of Stratford, Cynthia Baechler (Rick) of Auburn, and Cheryl May-Diegel of Mitchell. Predeceased by sisters Margaret Richardson, Marilyn Steele and brothers-in-law Russell Steele, Mack Kempton, and Harry Nieuwkuyk.
Michael was employed as a Millwright at Fram Canada for 30 years. He was a drummer in various bands over the years. He was a member and elder of First Lutheran Church, Logan Township.
Visitation at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal Street, Mitchell on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at First Lutheran Church, 6627 Line 42, Mitchell (Logan Township) on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11:00 am. Pastor Michael Mayer officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
