Mervin Edward Neil

Mervin passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 21, 2019 at the age of 74 at the Kelowna General Hospital.
He is predeceased by his parents Gavin and Eileen, brothers Ralph and Roy, sister Joyce Causey, grandson Andrew Evans and his favourite sidekick, his dog Cooper.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann, his daughter Tammy (Lee) Evans, son Cory (Laura), brothers Barry (Rose) and Kelvin (Cynthia), grandchildren; Alisha (Bryan) Mackie, Haley (Austin) and Ryan (Brooke), his great grandchildren Keydon Kristian and Kenzie Mackie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mervin was a perfectionist with everything that he did and there wasn’t too much that he didn’t do! He loved sports- especially golf, hockey and baseball. He enjoyed his time spent on his motorcycle and he took such great pride in his amazing carpentry projects. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Mervin’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Beaver Valley Curling Arena with Ken Siemens, Celebrant. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
The family would like to thank the emergency and intensive care staff at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital and the intensive care doctors and nurses at the Kelowna General Hospital for all their expertise and compassion during this difficult time.
As an expression of sympathy, your donations made to either the Kelowna General Hospital www.kghfoundation.com/donate-now/ or to your local SPCA chapter spca.bc.ca would be greatly appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mervin Edward Neil..
