It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Maxine Vivian ( nee Raike ) announce her passing at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook on Wednesday, September 25th,2019 at the age of 90 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 71 years John. Sons, Lloyd (Sheila ), Todd ( Doreen), Tony ( Bev ),daughters Christine, Geraldine (Clyde Woodford ), Janice (Kerry) Moore, Sharon ( Barry ) Hillier, Kathy ( John ) Crocker, Judy, and Heather, daughter-in-law Tonya Vivian. 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren whom she cherished with all her heart. Also leaving to mourn her sister Marina and brothers Bob, Lionel and brother-in-law Ross. Mom had a very special friend Betty Caines. Maxine also leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and extended family. Maxine was predeceased by her beloved son Sean, parents Enos & Greta Raike, sister June ( Warren Fisher ), brothers Cecil ( Robina ), Leonard and special friend Blair George.
The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel on Friday, September 27th,2019 at 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11:00am from St. Michaels & all Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake with Rev. Francis Elgar officiating. Interment to follow at the Inter-Denominational Cemetery on Wight’s Road. By request of the family flowers or donations to the Diabetes Association, Western Division would greatly be appreciated.

Mom had a passion for knitting, which all the family holds so many things that she had knitted for them over the years. Her love for flowers and plants were known by all and she had a special liking for a little furry friend called Buddy.
Special thanks to the staff on 2 North at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility for the ongoing care & friendship of our precious mother during her stay over the past few months.
