Peacefully at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton, with his family by his side on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the age of 85. He is the husband of the late Rose (nee Kochan). Matthew will be remembered fondly by his children, Matt Jr. (Tracey), Derek and Stephen (Theresa). He will be a treasured memory to his grandchildren Jamee, Joelle and Matthew Jr., Andrew and Alyssa, Chantal and Philip.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’s FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of the QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, September 25 from 7 – 9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or to the Cancer Research Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
