Passed on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Grey Gables Nursing Home in her 95th year with her children by her side. Beloved wife of the late Isaac Snell (1986) and Norman Loucks (1999). Loving mother of Audrey Newman(the late Stan Meads and Butch Newman) of Markdale and Wes(Rhonda) Snell of Englehart and step-mother of Gwen Carter, Gregory(Deborah) and Grant(Jan) all of Kingston. Mary will be greatly missed by Grandson Gregory Snell of Englehart and 8 step-grandchildren. She is loved and remembered by several step great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by Grandson John Snell, infant granddaughter Christina Leanne and step-grandson Danny Loucks. Loving daughter of the late Lawson Whitehead and Ada Thompson.
She loved working with Isaac on the farm, in the garden and tending to her rose bushes. She also loved social gatherings including the Markdale Seniors Club, Annesley United Church and Holdfast group, a social club started by Agnes MacPhail for young women to learn cooking and homecraft.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton for a time of visitation on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 11am. Funeral service from the chapel at 12 noon. A light lunch to follow at Annesley United Church at 1:15pm.
