It is with broken hearts that the family of Marilyn Howlett Skinner
(nee: Lillie) announce the passing of our beloved mother on September
7, 2019 in her 84th year. A life long resident of Galt and past
employee of Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation). Alzheimer’s
stole her from her family and friends. Beloved wife of the late
Douglas Skinner (2003). Loving mother to Linda and Murray Dougall,
Pat and Ron Grant, Barry and Linda Howlett, Brad and Christy Skinner.
Her cherished grandchildren, Michelle, Laura, Andrew, Mike, Kelly,
Lindsay, Jeff, Molly and Isabel and her 13 very special great
grandchildren. Survived by her sister Lois Gill, brothers Kent Lillie
(Bev), Bruce Lillie (Mary). Predeceased by brothers Wes, Jeff, Brian
and Allan Lillie and brother-in-law Robert Gill, James Howlett, Joe
and Mary Howlett and Ruth Howlett. Survived by sister-in-laws Fran
and Terry Lillie, Brother in law Al Howlett and many nieces and
nephews. In memory of Marilyn donations to the Cambridge Self Help
Food Bank or Stirling Heights Long Term Care Home would be appreciated
by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Stirling
for their much appreciated care of our mom. She will live on forever
in all of us, never forgotten and always loved.
Visitation will be held at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N,
Cambridge on Wednesday September 18, 2019 from 6-9p.m. Funeral service
will be held in the Funeral Home chapel on Thursday September 19, 2019
at 10:30a.m. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery.
