Obituary of Marguerite Olivia Snyder-Crouse
SNYDER-CROUSE, Marguerite Olivia – Age 96, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 in Hillside Pines Nursing Home, Bridgewater, where she had been residing. Born in Wileville, she was a daughter of the late Leander and Etta (Wile) Snyder. Surviving are daughter, Donna Snyder, Aulenback Point Road; step-daughters, Margo Benning, Johanna Benning, Sharon Lamb, Donna White; son, Douglas (Melissa) Snyder, Maders Cove; sister, Greta Hirtle and sister-in-law, Gloria Snyder; grandchildren, Daniel (Julie) Snyder, Diana (Chris) Snyder; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Russell Snyder and second husband, John “Jack” Crouse; son, Charles; brothers, Roy, Billy and Murray.
Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 4 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. A private family graveside service will be held in Hebbville Cemetery, Hebbville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hillside Pines Nursing Home or a charity of choice. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Hillside Pines Nursing Home, who cared for Marguerite with love and understanding and to special friend and roommate, Pearl Tufts, who shared many laughs and companionship.
