It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret (Betty) Fougere announce her passing in the Dartmouth General Hospital on September 10, 2019. Born in Dartmouth she was the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Duff)Barry. She is survived by her children, Beth, Patricia (Ron) Hiltz, Gail (Mike) Larisey, Maureen (Grégoire) Belliveau, Greg (Cheryl) Fougere. Grandchildren Daniel and Keith Hiltz, Krista Gagne, Jennifer and Paul Larisey, Kathleen and Claire Belliveau, Nathan and Rachel Fougere, five great grandchildren, and sister Beverly (Robert) Foston. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 64 years Maurice, her brother Tom Barry and many beloved dogs. Betty’s family would like to extend gratitude to friends, neighbours, the VON, and Northwood Home Care for their support. Our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Varma, Nurse Jean, and the staff at the Dartmouth General Emergency Department. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Jim Richards in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Dartmouth on Saturday September 14, 2019 at 10:00 am. Reception to follow in the Parish Centre. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
