Brooks, Lynn Maureen:
Surrounded by her daughter, her sister and her friend Mary Waite, Lynn passed quietly at St. Mary’s General Hospital on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, age 69 years.
Beloved mother of daughter Sarah Brooks of Kitchener and son Christopher (deceased). Daughter of Stanley Horsman of Waterloo and the late Phyllis Horsman. Also survived by sister Nedra Kristensen (Paul) of Kitchener, and their children Amanda (Ken Hanes) of Waterloo and Andrew (Emma) of Richmond Hill.
Lynn’s family much appreciate the support and care for Lynn of the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital over these past months, and particularly Dr. Sheila Russek and Julie Fisher and their care team for attending to her recent palliative care needs. Tracey Ostermann was also a great support to the family.
Lynn’s family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A private family interment will take place at Williamsburg Cemetery, following the visitation.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
