Louise Ellen Killam

It is with great sadness the family of Louise Killam announces her passing which occurred at her home in the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing home on September 6, 2019. Born on March 3rd, 1942 in Indian Mountain, N.B., the daughter of the late Leonard and Laura Steeves. She was predeceased by her infant son Brian Killam.
Louise is survived by her son Michael Killam (Treena) and daughter Cheryl Killam, grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Kristin, Lauren and Zachary, as well as her sisters, Leona, Marion, Ida, Linda and Millie and brothers Allen and Lennie, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending church services and church functions, and solving the Monday crossword puzzle which she often collaborated on with her brother Lennie. She also enjoyed visiting the Saint John City Market and engaging in lively conversations. The family wishes to extend deep thanks and appreciation to the caring and loving staff of the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing home and other caretakers that have cared for her over the years.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. (646-2424). As per the family’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Rivercross Church (61 Forbes Drive, Saint John, N.B.) would be greatly appreciated.
