Obituary of Lornie Stewart
(Retired – Ontario Hydro, Chats Falls)
With great sadness we announce that our Dad and Grandpa, Laurence Colin “Lornie” Stewart of Fitzroy Harbour passed away peacefully in the presence and comfort of his oldest granddaughter, Tina at the Hazeldean Garden Retirement Residence on Thursday evening, September 26, 2019. He was 91. Beloved husband of the late Faye MacLean. Loved father of Gary (Becky) of Bailieboro, ON. Predeceased by 3 sons: Brian (Kerry of Kingston), Warren and Glenn (Daljit of Surrey, B.C.). Cherished and devoted Grandpa of Tina (Brad), Stephanie (Rob), Heather (Alex), Alan (Laura), Brianna (Brandon), Taryn, Greg (Adi) and Elizabeth and Great-Grandpa of Tori (Chris), Brayden, Bryce, Andrew, Blake, Weston, Lawson, Kinsley, Grayson, Sawyer and Evaley. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Jimmy, Bruce, Judy and Corrine. Special brother-in-law of Joan Dollock and Gayle Fraser. Son of the late Jim and Florence “Flossie” (nee Deber) Stewart. Lorne was also predeceased by his only brother, Oral (late Doreen). Lornie’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Thursday afternoon, October 10th from 12 to 1:45 p.m. A Tribute to Lornie will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 2 o’clock. Interment St. George’s Anglican Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour. In memory, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
