Lisa Marie Spurvey

Obituary of Lisa Marie Spurvey
SPURVEY, Lisa Marie:
It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce Lisa’s sudden passing on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 50. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Honor and partner Nathan Mikus. Beloved daughter of Stella Spurvey. Amazing sister and best friend to Debbie Hancock (Steve) and Melinda Turner (Mark). Proud aunt of Blake, Macie, Cecilija and Julian. Loving niece of Angeline Niejadlik, Patricia Quilty, Glenda Ducey, Tony Niejadlik and Dennis Spurvey. Lisa will be sadly missed by her cousins and extended family in Ontario, Newfoundland and Alberta and her many close friends both near and far. We take solace and comfort knowing that she will be happily reunited with her father Peter Spurvey and other beloved friends and relatives. Lisa’s positivity, sense of humour, love of music and overall zest for life will never be forgotten. Even more inspiring, was the love and devotion she exuded for her daughter and family. Lisa will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who loved her. As we mourn this tragic event, know that she always looked forward to the future and would want us all to do the same and to never miss an opportunity to enjoy life and love to the fullest. A celebration of Lisa’s life will take place on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass and Christian Burial at St. Martin of Tours’ Roman Catholic Church located at 166 West Street, Smithville, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) through Merritt Funeral Home.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lisa Marie Spurvey..

  1. It was so sad to hear about Lisa’s passing. Please accept my condolences to all who knew and loved her especially to her little girl Honor. I knew Lisa and Debbie from St. Lawrence in Scarborough. She will be dearly missed.
