Peacefully, on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in his ninety-ninth year. Beloved husband of the late Florence Gradinger. Cherished father and father-in-law of Roslyn and Norman Malin, Harold and Rosa Penn, and the late Rabbi Martin Penn. Proud and loving “Grandpa Leo” of Alana and Jeff Strebinger, Donna Malin, David Malin and Fallyn Leibovitch; Shari-Ann Penn and Benjamin Levine, Tammiy Penn and Lowen Weizel; and Jeremy Penn. Adoring great-grandfather of Lilly Summer Strebinger, Charlotte Olivia Malin; Isabella Grace, Toben Penn, Molly Faith Levine; Mackenzie Aria, Landon Ryker, Anderson Abraham Weizel. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Annie and the late Mildred Penn; and brother-in-law of Hazel and the late David Wasserman, Norma and Eli Moscovitz, the late Annette and the late William Berlin. Leon will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and many friends. Special thanks to all those who went out of their way to make Leon comfortable with such exceptional care. Shiva at 15 Verdi Cr., D.D.O., Tuesday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Contributions in Leon’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
