Leon “Joe”‘s Obituary
DOANE, Leon “Joe” Clyde – 88, of Roseway, passed away Saturday August 31 in Roseway Manor. Born in Roseway he was the son of the late Calvin and Marion (Davis) Doane. He was a hardworking, well respected fisherman all of his life and the ocean is where he wanted to be; lobstering well into his seventies. He enjoyed feeding the deer, driving his truck, watching the ocean from his living room chair and enjoyed having drinks with company. He is survived by his wife Mary McKenney, sister; Leola McInness, step children Paula (Philip), Trina (Jason) and TJ; grandchildren; Jennifer, Jonathan (Teri Lynn) and Alex (Alisha), great grandchildren; Vanessa, Tyson, Chance and Isabella, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Joe was predeceased by brothers; Lloyd and Clare and son Ancel. Cremation has taken by place under the care of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. The Memorial service will be held at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Shelburne on Wednesday September 4th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cindy Dunnett officiating. Burial will be in Roseway Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter, the Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
