Leon Hollander
Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather passed away five days before his ninety-sixth year, on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. He is survived by his daughters, Ruth Cohen and Rosalind Wolfe, and seven grandchildren, Shimon, Tzivia, Shira, Menachem, Sara Leah, Yehudis and Brooke. He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. Leon Hollander was a profile in courage, having survived the Holocaust with a deep faith, strong work ethic and love of family, which he passed on to his children. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, the late Maria (Immergluck), and steadfastly focused his energies on caring for her in her last few years. He leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion and humor, which defined his life. Special thank you to the extraordinary staff at Maimonides and to his caregivers, Prescilla, Anna and Arlyn.
