Aulenback, Leigh Gordon
January. 27, 1949 – September 12, 2019
Peacefully, surrounded by family, Leigh was called home to be with the Lord at St. Peter’s Hospital on September 12, 2019 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Darlene for 44 years. Loving father of Natalie (Claudio), Craig (Kim), Danielle. Cherished Papa of Cassandra, “His Little Rascal.” Sadly missed by his sister Vivian Roach (Clarence). Pre-deceased by his parents Lester and Gwendolyn Aulenback and siblings Lynn and Robin. Leigh was a graduate from McMaster University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a great love for his sport cars, music and blooper ball, especially every Friday night bonfires after the games with great friends. Leigh was dearly loved by all his friends including those at the Mountberry and Meadowlands Adult Day Services. Family and friends will be received at Winterberry Heights Church, 300 Winterberry Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, September 18th from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Winterberry Heights Church on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. The family thanks Dr. Atul Luthra, Milva Xamin and all the staff at St. Peter’s Behavioural Health for making Leigh’s final journey with Alzheimer’s one of complete care and compassion. As an expression of sympathy a donation can be made to The Alzheimers’s Society, Mountberry & Meadowlands Adult Day Services or Winterberry Heights Salvation Army Church.
