Lee Elton Lewis, 79, of Berry
Mills, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, September
25, 2019. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Elton
and Sybil (Hamilton) Lewis.
Lee retired from the
Department of Transportation, Province of New Brunswick. He enjoyed
horse pulls, Blue Grass music, his morning trips to Tim’s
for his coffee and time spent with his family, especially his
grandchildren and dog, “Barbie”.
Lee will be sadly missed by
his daughter, Brenda Murray (Wayne); sons, Greg Lewis and Terry Lewis;
grandchildren, Natasha Matchett (Mark), Randy Arsenault and Ashley
Arsenault; great grandchildren, Emma, Avery, Sierra, Sadie and
Grayson; brothers and sisters, Elizabeth French, Roberta Boudreau
(John), Gary Lewis (Marielle), Linda Kubas (Garry), Dennis Lewis
(Lorraine), Debra Murphy (Terry) and Wendy Murphy (Paul);
sister-in-law, Linda Lewis; several nieces, nephews and extended
family members.
In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara
“Barb” (McAuley) Lewis (April 2010); son, Michael and
brother, Bertram “Buddy”.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home,
1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995). on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00
and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Lee’s
life will be held in Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Monday,
September 30, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Don MacDougall leading the
service. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the
service. Interment will be in Wesleyan Union Cemetery, Upper
Coverdale.
In memory of Lee, donations to
the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Friends of The Moncton
Hospital would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may
