Hamilton, Laurence Harold – of Peterborough and formerly of Trenton. Laurence passed peacefully at The Peterborough Regional Hospital on Tuesday September 17th, 2019 in his 78th year. Son of the late Richard “Homer” and Eva (Church) Hamilton. Beloved husband of Sandra “Sandy” Hamilton (Newell) for 31 years. Dear father of Lawrence Hamilton, Cathy Cole of Trenton, Allan Oosting (Becky), and Lucky Dainard (Dennis). Predeceased by his sisters Ann Anderson, Donna Graham, and Neil Hamilton. Loved by his grandchildren Michelle Butler, late Rachael Kears-Hamilton, Britney Dainard, Dylan Dainard, Ryan Oosting, Emma Oosting, Alex Wesson, Chloe Dainard, and by his great grandchildren Hannah, Kayla, Noel, Emma, and Hunter. Sadly missed by his dear mother-in-law Wannetta Newell, nieces Cherie Wesson (Mark), Donna Young, Jackie Lake (Barry), nephew Allan Anderson, and great nephew Justin Lake. Sadly missed by dear friends Wolf and Cindy, Diane, and Fran. Laurence will also be sadly missed many friends, family and neighbours. Special thanks to doctors Mallory and Price, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit D2 at The Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Medigas, Hospice Peterborough, Care Partners and St Elizabeth. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
