Lamont Ronald Donaldson Selby

Lamont Ronald Donaldson Selby, passed peacefully with his niece Tracey and stepson Michael by his side on the morning of Sunday, September 8th, 2019 in the Lethbridge Chinook Hospital due to complications of pneumonia.
Lamont was born in Milk River on August 11, 1942 to Wellington (Wally) and Beulah Selby and is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Ken Copeland, Doris (Copeland) Patera, Eudene (Copeland) Hannem Ellywn, Starlene (Selby)Sutcliffe Dillabaugh, and first wife Carolyn Evans.
He will be dearly missed by his loving companion Irena Pidstawka, his two dogs (children) Buddy and Mitzy, nieces Tracey Sutcliffe, Jody (Sutcliffe) Hopwo and Tanya (Sutcliffe) Bailey, brother-in-law Conway Dillabaugh, his stepson Michael Lawrence (Lisa), grandchildren Liam, Maia, and Anna, several other nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren, and many friends.
Life gave Lamont many struggles but he always met each one with his strength and incredible sense of humour. Making others laugh and his huge, generous, caring heart were two of his greatest gifts.
We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Greg Smith, the staff at the Calgary Foothills Hospital, the Lethbridge Chinook Hospital (especially Jim and Sam in ICU), and the Raymond Health Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. As well as The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints for their thoughtfulness and support.
The Funeral Service will be held the evening of October 4th, 2019 at 6:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints 260 E. 200 N, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, Raymond, AB T0K 2S0.
Memorials may be sent to the LDS church above or to Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home.
