Kenneth Wilson

KENNETH “JIM” WILSON
In Mitchell, Ontario, on September 20, 2019. Kenneth James “Jim” Wilson, in his 88th year. Born in Oneida to Fred and Frances Wilson, younger brother to Don, who predeceased him in June 2016.
Survived by children Dan and Megan (Chris), and their mother Patricia; grandchildren Ellis, Cole, and Ronan, son-in-law Kevin and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his daughter Heather.
Jim spent his working days as a heavy duty mechanic in such far flung locales as Saskatchewan, Caledonia, Hamilton, Pine Point NWT, Guelph, Listowel, Malton, and Stratford. He spent his retirement at his workshop and woodlot near St Marys, and on annual driving trips to the West Coast to visit his children and grandchildren. He was a good samaritan and guardian angel to many he met on the road.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped shepherd Jim through his final illness, especially his many faithful friends, his extended family of caregivers and volunteers from Ritz Lutheran Villa and Huron-Perth Hospice Services.
Relatives and friends are invited to join Jim’s family in celebrating his life at the Lockhart Reception Centre, 116 Montreal St., Mitchell on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ritz Lutheran Villa Redevelopment Fund, Huron-Perth Hospice Services, or a charity of one’s choice at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
