Katherine Mary Power Wilm

Katherine Power (Wilm) passed into the hands of our Lord on September 1, 2019 at the Wheatland Lodge in Leask, SK where she had spent the last six years of her life. Katherine enjoyed her 98 years of life which most of it was spent on the farm raising her four children. In 1977 Katherine and her husband, Bill, moved into Prince Albert for the winter. One month later her husband Bill passed away and left her to carry on her own. She found work at the Marlboro Hotel as a short order cook in the kitchen and worked there until her retirement.
She will be sadly missed by her family: son James (Marvis) Wilm of Prince Albert, SK, son Bill (Rhonda) Wilm of St. Brieux, SK; twin daughters Loretta (Larry) Oxamitny of Kurriemuir, AB and Lorraine (Terry) Johnson of Lethbridge, AB as well as thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and sister in law Marg Power.
Katherine was predeceased by her first husband Bill Wilm; her second husband Des Power; her parents James and Mary Williamson; two sisters and one brother as well as the family members of Des.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 310 – 27th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Richard Mensch officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Katherine’s memory may be made to Wheatland Lodge, Box 130, Leask, SK S0J 1M0.
Condolences to the family may be sent to www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, in Prince Albert, SK (306) 922-4729.
